Using Templates to Make a Website

web page templateOne way to save a lot of time when making a website is to use templates.

Template pages will also help you to develop consistency throughout your web site.

When you have progressed far enough to develop a style for your site, create an HTML page with all of your basic settings.

Use divisions and CSS to structure web pages and set the attributes accordingly.

If you like certain fonts place the desired font selections using style sheets.

If you use a footer, place it at the bottom.

Place all of your navigational tools.

After you have placed all of your favorite tags on your page, save it as mytemplate.html or a similar name.

Then, when you begin a new page, load the template page and immediately save as the name of the new page that you will be working on. Then make the necessary additions to the page.
