Using Templates to Make a Website

One way to save a lot of time when making a website is to use templates.

Template pages will also help you to develop consistency throughout your web site.

When you have progressed far enough to develop a style for your site, create an HTML page with all of your basic settings.

If you use a format of tables to contain your text, build a table and set the attributes accordingly. If you like certain fonts place the desired font selections using style sheets. If you use a footer, place it at the bottom.
Place all of your navigational tools.

After you have placed all of your favorite tags on your page, save it as mytemplate.html or a similar name.

Then, when you begin a new page, load the template page and immediately save as the name of the new page that you will be working on. Then make the necessary additions to the page.
