Create Your Own Design - Step 1

One of the greatest features of Yahoo Sitebuilder is that you have the option of using professionally designed templates or creating your own designs.

This section of our Sitebuilder tutorial will show you how to get started and avoid some common mistakes.

You can use Sitebuilder to recreate a template that you've acquired or to create your own design from scratch.

Remember! You are creating your own template. Name the original web page something like template1 or mytemplate. Get your web page exactly the way you want it to appear before you start creating multiple pages.

You may want to create 2 versions. For instance you may want some of your pages to be 3 or 4 columns if you are going to use a vertical navigation bar. Give it some thought before you start.

Getting Started

Open Sitebuilder.
In the upper left corner of the editor
Click File
Click New Page
Choose the option Without Template
