Joomla MOSImage Control
To place an image, first place your cursor within the text in the WYSIWYG editor where you want it to appear. Click the Insert Image button on the bottom of the editor window. When you do it places a mosimage tag at that location. The attributes like alignment, alt text and caption are set using the MOSImage Control. Notice the 2 boxes located at the top of the control. The left box is named Gallery Images and the right box is named Content Images. The left box contains the images that you have uploaded into the images/stories folder. Or you can use the sub-folder control to navigate to the location, if you put them in an accessible place. |

The right box will contain the images that you want to display on this page. You will place an image in the box for every mosimage tag you place in your text. The order they are placed in the box will determine the order they appear on the page. If needed you can move them around using the Up Down keys. Use the arrow keys in the middle to copy an image from the left box to the right box. After you have placed your images in the right box, click on each one to highlight it, fill in the alignment, alt text and other options you prefer and click the Apply button. Repeat the process for every image. You can also remove an image by using the arrow keys. Be sure to remove the corresponding mosimage tag for the image. Logo ImagesAny logo images you create for your website should be uploaded to the images folder of the template that you are using. Note: One way to simply the process of uploading your images would be to install JoomlaXplorer as one of your components. To get it visit the main Joomla site (joomla.org) and search the Components section. You need special instructions for adding these as each template varies in the way the image is placed. Some place them in the HTML of the page, others are placed using the CSS file. If you use a free template I can usually help you with this. Just send me your template name and tell me where you got it. Some templates that use logos will require you to use the same software used to create it for its modification. The author of the template will sometimes perform this operation for a small fee. Get Joomla free with any web hosting account at Omnis.com. |
